Inua Inclusivity Standards and Safeguarding Commitments

Inua Impact Fund’s internal standards and commitments include the following key elements concerning anti-harassment and non-discrimination:

  • Inua Impact Fund has developed specific human resource guidelines and ensures that relations between colleagues involve mutual respect, non-harassment and non-discrimination. Employees with concerns about harassment or discrimination in the workplace are encouraged to raise these issues. Employees can voice concerns and submit reports without fear of retaliation. Any employee found to be engaging in any type of harassment or unlawful discrimination will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
  • Inua Impact Fund does not tolerate any form of sexual or moral harassment or offensive conduct, whether verbal or physical, that could create an intimidating, offensive or hostile situation in the workplace.
  • Discrimination is any distinction, exclusion or preference made on the basis of ethnicity, race, gender, physical or mental ability, age, sexual orientation, religious belief, marital status, political opinion, nationality or social origin which has the effect of nullifying or impairing equality of opportunity and treatment in employment or occupation. Inua Impact Fund is an equal opportunity employer and does not tolerate discrimination in employment opportunity or practices on the above bases of distinction.

These internal principles are reflected in the operations of Inua Impact Fund and its Fund Manager, in the Fund’s investment process, and in its commitment to invest in projects: (i) with a high social impact; (ii) that respect human rights and promote the rights of women; and, (iii) that protect their stakeholders’ health, safety and well-being.
